Dental handpiece cleaning and disinfection?   4. Wash the dental handpiece under flowing water to remove surface pollutants;
  5. After rinsing, soak with enzyme cleaner (1: 270) for 2-5 minutes and then scrub, or put in an ultrasonic cleaner and add enzyme solution to clean for 3-5 minutes
  6. Rinse / brush the dental handpiece under flowing water, and use a high-pressure water gun or syringe to flush the lumen;
  7. Rinse with distilled water and repeat step 6;
  8. Use a water gun or syringe to dry the moisture on the surface of the pipe and the bearing of the wheel;
  9. Inject 75% ethanol to dry, and disinfect the inner and outer surface of the dental handpiece with 75% ethanol;
  10. When manual oiling is used, a spray-type cleaning lubricant should be used. After the oiling, the appearance of the instrument should be dried in time. Mechanical drying and pressure air gun drying should be used in the lumen.
  11. Use a visual inspection or a magnifying glass with a light source to check the cleanliness and performance of the dental handpiece after drying;
  12. Use paper-plastic single packing and seal with medical heat sealer;
  13. The pre-vacuum pressure steam sterilizer is preferred for sterilization. It cannot be stacked when loading. The sealed dental handpieces should be placed in the tray in turn. A certain gap should be maintained between each dental handpiece. And drying;
  14. Strictly control sterilization temperature, pressure and time. Temperatures> 135 ° C or sterilization time exceeding the specified time can damage components such as the sealed rubber ring and the bead sleeve of the bearing.

PS: If the rapid cassette pressure steam sterilizer is used for sterilization, it can be sterilized without packaging.
